Hi everyone, I have a Yorkie and a Maltese who are 7 months and they have both been teething recently. Last night the Maltese, Luna, was chewing on a rawhide bone and I happened to look over and I noticed that on her bottom right side, one of her teeth had come in behind the baby tooth. So I took a closer look and what I think to be the baby tooth is in front and possibly starting to rot. It had like a green color at the bottom of it. So I called the vet and she has to go in on Tuesday to be checked out and they said they may need to put her under to take the tooth. Now my question is does she have to go under?

It just makes me nervous. Does anyone know if they can use local anesthesia? Or does anyone have any first hand experience with this who can give me some positive words?

Thanks!
