 My Jack Russell / s**tzu mix had .........
one dewclaw on her back left leg. It was dangly and she kept catching it on things so I asked the vet to remove it when I had her spayed. I didn't even know that it would be painful for her. She never complained and recovered from the surgery quickly. I think it would have been more painful if I wouldn't have had it removed and she tore it on something later. My chihuahua has her dewclaws and the nail does tend to curl and start poking her if I don't keep it clipped short.
I don't think that I would have the vet remove them if it is that painful. |
