I taught Darla to sit very easily when she was about 3 months old but really havent worked with her much and now she is 6 months. I have seen sooo many videos of yorkie's doing tricks and such and decided TODAY I am going to give it a whirl!!

I broke up some Science Diet treats real small for a reward and sat Darla and Reece down. First I taught Darla down and put my finger down on the ground and BOOM she was down and looking at me like...NEXT...WHATEVER...TOO EASY!!

So then I thought..hmmm...ROLLOVER!! And we went from down to rolling over...well wouldnt you know it she picked that up after two or three times and was rolling over all day long!! My hubby walked in the living room tonight with a snack for himself and she layed down hoping to get a nibble from him...didnt happen....so she rolled over!!!!! Without being asked!! It was sooooooooooo funny!! I wish I could video tape it like the other ones I have seen!!

With Reece being only 10 weeks I thought I would just try getting him to sit...WELL...then I couldnt even get him to stand back up!! He just sat there waiting for another nibble!! I would actually have to physically stand him and tell him to sit!!

I have never had much luck training a dog in the past and I have had many spaniels!! Is it a yorkie thing or what????? I think they can read my mind sometimes!! Darla goes with me for the car ride to pick up the kids after school and like 5 mins before its time to go...she is sitting on the edge of the couch waiting for me to put her collar on...like hello??? Can she tell time?? lol...its crazy how smart these little ones are!!
