She wouldn't let the pup stay there with it's momma for a few more weeks until its at least 9 or 10 weeks old? We got Stedman when he was 11 weeks....maybe if you ask her she will agree that it is in the best interest of the puppy. Tell her that you would be willing to put a deposit down to hold the puppy so that she will know that you are committed to buying her, and that way she can't sell it to anyone else that comes along. It's worth a shot!
