My 4 1/2 month old pup is starting to mat, also. I have been successful thus far in removing the knots; however, I am starting to think it is almost not worth putting my puppy through all that. Do any of you have pictures of their first cuts as puppies? What did you tell the groomer about how you wanted it cut? I am terrified to have all of his fluffy puppy mop cut off!!!! He is just a big messy furball (even right after he is combed out) and I love it
