Reasons like this make me scared to go to the dentist. You don't know if you are going to get a good or not so good dentist and thats what scares the heck out of me.

I hope you feel better and I sure hope everything he did was normal. I have heard that a dry socket is the worst pain it's like going into hard labor, but a hard labor that does not stop for days OUCH!!!
