Wow! That was a close call. Fortunately, you are not alone. Both my dog and cat have chewed out power cords while I sleep. They were both babies and teething so now I know better when I get my baby yorkie soon

My husband coiled all the cords to the computer, lamps, and other appliances and secured them with zip ties. We then either covered them up or placed them in between items. I got used to having to plug in things before I used and unplugging them afterwards. Whenever we left, the poodle went with us........but of course my indoor house cat didn't. I made sure I kept him in a room with his toys and condo. They are adults now and don't chew things up, but nevertheless, they both act like little children at times

Now, you just have to keep a close eye on them and good luck
