An empty stomach produces a yellow foamy bile vomit, not white. White is most likely an indication of a stomach upset. Are you sure there wasn't anything on the cotton balls that could have been toxic? You can give Maalox or Mylanta at 1/4 tsp. per 5 pounds of body weight to coat the stomach. It could also be a reaction to a dewormer, if used recently. It can also be from a throat infection or tonsillitis (usually also show signs of not wanting to eat and swallow and general lethargy, but usually don't have a temp.)
