Pixie has both hers on the front legs... I had asked my vet about having them removed and he stated it was unnecessary for her. Hers lay very close to her leg and I keep the nail well trimmed so the risk of getting them caught on something is very small (especially in my 100% hardwood/linoleum house).

Charlie has one on his front leg. I have a feeling the breeder removed both of them and that one grew back. Since it isn't floppy and sticks close the leg, I'm not concerned about it.
