I witnessed a tie on the 10th, 11th, and 12th days after the beginning of her heat cycle. I didn't want to breed her any further apart than that because her mother had a detached placenta in September with six pups and I lost them all. I had her mother spayed because she was predisposed for hypocalcemia and I didn't want her to go through any other complications. I guess I'll have to keep watching ....I've been raising yorkies for about 4 years, but there is still much to learn and I'm a nurse. Thanks for your reply and any further info. you might have.
