Sorry I can't Sugar Coat facts........a few points here; I can't see Yorkie's being raised outside for any reason, especially while they have a Litter whether it's you first or last Litter! The price doesn't mean anything, actually $1,000.00 is considered very lowprice, with the average being $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 and high for anything above $1,800.00 or more. And that seems to be across the Board regardless of where you live? That's just the price of Yorkie's I guess, just like the price of Gas you can't do anything about it? As far as the projected size, No one can actually predict what weight & size he will grow up to be, whether it gets alot of exercise w/c builds actual muscle tone w/c we all know muscle weighs more than Fat. Or whether you feed it low/high grade Dogfood? Besides "Breeders" usually tell you they will be alot smaller than they will actually turn out to be? Why b/c they feed off of the "Teacup" craze.....everyone wants a tiny one! So needless to say some people are taking advantage of that. There is nothing like the "Bond" between you and your own Yorkie that comes from being constantly around each other day and night they are my Companions. I personally would not have bought from this Breeder only b/c there are 2 kinds of Breeders, some that Breed strictly to produce a Profit, and the other wants to produce puppies that are picture perfect examples of the Breed Standard!!!!
You are either a "Dog Person" or you are not? Any one can purchase a Dog, but to make it a Pet and a member of your Family, is a different Story.
So how is that possible if they are in cages away from the People like actual Animals? It is that Human Touch that gives Yorkie's that Special knack to impress us, I know I didn't just get a Yorkie or 2 for that matter, just b/c they were adorable or for the Status Symbol effect. They are high maintenance inside & out. I can't give you any advice except to tell you that you have to feel right w/your own decision? You are probably rescuing it from a situation w/c can only be better for the puppy? Sorry my post is so long too. Good Luck and Welcome to YT.
