In training Buddy I took him out every 1hr to 1 1/2 hrs the week I got him.
I took vacation so I could do this. He was 14 1/2 wks. Everytime he went
pee or poop I gave him a small piece of liverwurst. Only when he went. That was the only treat I used. He loved it and before long he got the message.
My daughter's trainer for her minpin told her that trick. He was completely trained by 5mos. Never had a potty problem in the house after that.
Good luck. I have never used paper or pads. Hang in there.
