I got Piper from a breeder in Kansas. She was 13 weeks when she shipped her, but only 1.3 lbs. She said she was concerned about shipping her because of her size. She took her to her vet a couple of days before shipping. Checked out ok. HA! When I got her I could see she was sick. Her ribs sticking out, stomach sunk in. Took her to my vet right away. She had coccidia, giardia, bronchitis. Took a couple of weeks to get her healthy. The breeder did reimburse me for the 1st vet bill, but not all of it. She paid a $100, I paid $300. I would never recommend her, but she did seem concerned. Now if Piper would have died, I wouldn't have been reimbursed for the vet bills, but she would have sent another puppy, If I was willing to pay for airfare. If I ever get another puppy, I've learned to get one closer. Visit them, see the parents. Do-not go on picture alone. Unless it was from a breeder on the site. To many people out there just wanting to make a buck.
