I have Ginger F (6 1/2 yrs), Chester M/neutered and Cujo F (littermates 4 1/2 yrs), Parker M (6 yrs), Tiffany F (2yrs) Odie F (1yr) and three pups to be named later

(12 weeks).
Except for the babies. they ALL hike their legs!! Chester goes over, hikes his leg on something, Ginger follows him, squats and lifts one leg and pees on the spot Chester has just peed on. Then Cujo follows, etc. It's almost like watching a parade or something. At one time of the day, usually first thing in the morning, they do it. It's like a ritual! Wake up mom, go outside and start looking for who pees first!! Then follow. Go back in the house, drink water and go back to bed. Unless mom tries to go back to bed. Then it's their job to make sure mom knows their still awake. When I finally get up----they go back to bed!!
But I wouldn't have it any other way.
