I have 2 males and neither one was easy to potty train. Rebel we didn't get until he was 1.5 years old and the family was not home much and let him have the run of the house...he marks everything! He then taught my other yorkie and the dachshund to lift their legs as well. Meeko didn't lift his leg until he was over 3 years old. Now they all try to mark things up. Meeko and Stretch were neutered at no more than 6 months old, but I have no idea about Rebel since we didn't get him as a puppy.
I think part of our difficulty was that at the time I worked full time and my kids were still in daycare so they were home longer by themselves. Now they are home after school and my mom lives next door and comes and lets them out so hopefully that will really help a lot with the next baby. |
