Apparently dogs can get pregnant in their first heat as she came home expecting. I was so worried for her and so scared. She was very young as well as tiny, 4 lbs prepreg.
Anyhow, she had 4 puppies in June. 3 survived and she was an awesome mom. I know I was lucky and I was so scared and worried for everyone.
I just wanted to let you know that although it is not what anyone wants, sometimes it does work out well.
We have 3 healthy puppies to prove it and mom is finally back to her old self. |
So glad everything worked out in your situation. Megan owned by Paddy's Mum just gave birth to her first litter at 9 years old. So now we have a healthy geriatric and pediatric pregnancy for others to consider.
