I have four dogs a minature poodle 9 yrs., a toy poodle 5 yrs and a teacup poodle 6 yrs and a yorkie almost 9 mos. It does get crazy, sometimes, but alot of fun, but as someone else mentioned also a lot of work, I do all my own grooming, and 4 is a lot. Also walking is a problem, I have walked all four at once and I look like a New York dog walker and get lots of looks and comments, mostly " Do you own all those dogs?" I just smile and respond no they own me and keep walking. Usually I walk them one or two at a time and they all want a turn so I get lots of exercise. Honestly sometimes four is a bit much though I love them all and wouldn't part with any of them, however when they dwindle down I probably won't replace them, I will prob always have 2 though as I do think it is good for them to have a buddy, especially if you work or a gone alot.
You have bitten by the puppy bug, so go ahead! Just be ready to be dog-tired! Pun intended.
