If you burned the new skin it is a good old fashioned sunburn. Take it from one who has spent their entire life in the burn-blister-peel cycle. The itching is horrible because as soon as you scratch one spot, it travels to another, then everything itches and you can't relieve it. Noxema, aloe lotion, iced tea all help. You may have stayed in too long. You may start developing little blisters which will pop and you'll start peeling. Be careful you didn't get sun poisoning. Now, there's some wicked itching, if you did. Good luck. Let the burn turn to tan before you back into the bed and if you peel, make sure you let the new skin grow back before you retan. I don't know much about Yorkies, but I am a professional burner expert.
