One thing I discovered with Kasey is that she seemed to have an itchy rear end. She kept reaching back to her tail, like she thought there was a bug there -- but there wasn't. It was driving her crazy. The vet said, "If it looks like pieces of rice in her stool and she's itchy, let's treat her right away for tapeworm." Quick treatment -- one pill, I think -- and it worked.

I had thought she was already treated with a preventative for tapeworm, but apparently the stuff I give her (Interceptor) ever month treats other kinds of worms (eg heartworm) but not tapeworm. This was a learning for me.
