First off, thank you to those of you who actually gave me a nice response. I really do appreciate it!! The rest of this post is not intended for you!
As for the rest of you, I was unaware that this site was a clic for snotty people!
No where did I say that I had 5 lb dogs in a kennel. I do own a yorkie, but did I say that was who I was keeping in sawdust? Second, I do agree that sawdust would not be practical, in fact it was shavings (not as dusty, but still not good), and I tried it one time for a large dog on the advice of someone who I trusted. Obviously if I had been happy with that, I would not be asking for advice now. I am only trying to increase the comfort level of my animals. I did not say they lived in a kennel 24 hours a day, did I? You know nothing about me, yet you are all having a good time insulting me. Is this elementary school?
As for you who asked if I keep mothers and pups on sawdust to sell for profit, are you for real? You came to that conclusion from my question???
I don't think a lot of 'puppy millers' browse the internet for advice on improving their pets health and comfort!
I really thought that I could get some good advice on this site, not just about this one issue, but for all dog related issues. I love my pets very much, and want what is best for them. To jump to such conclusions because I asked 1 innocent question illustrates just how rude and narrow minded some people are! |
First of all, YOU posted in a YORKIE FORUM, under BREEDER TALK. If this was supposed to be about other animals, we have an OFF TOPIC and BROTHERS AND SISTERS section, which are clearly visible. Ok lets just assume you didn't know what those sections were for, why not clarify what animal the bedding is for? I think the fact that your post is in a yorkie forum with a vague description of your questions is what got you under fire. We care about animals, especially our yorkies and they DON'T belong outside. They belong indoors. And yes, I have found that people with kennels are usually the ones that keep the breeding stock there to make money off them like millers do. And yes, JUST from your question I came to that conclusion. So I would turn that finger around. If you don't want people to assume you are keeping your yorkie in horrible conditions, then you should specify that it is not a yorkie you are inquiring information about.
