Just asking, because it is relevant..... what kind of dogs are you housing in your kennel? It might be valuable to know in recommending appropriate bedding. Old blankets and quilts might be a good choice. It would be easier to wash and dry them than it would regular dog beds.

Owing a horse farm, I do understand the difference between saw dust and shavings...... and for all to know...... nice clean fluffy shavings are NOT dusty and make a GREAT place to take a quick nappipoo -- my horses love me when I strip their stalls and add all new shavings.... and Boo the Boxer has a ball playing in the shavings pile. On the other hand, it will only take one good roll in the shavings and after the hours it takes to comb them all out and the mess it makes, the shavings pile will be an "off limits" area to all yorkies!
