We have two of these for my older beagle mix. They are indoors, but they are meant for outside. Do a search for coolaroo dog bed, I've found them as cheap as $17 online. (I got mine at Petsmart, think the second one was $13).
They can be washed off with a hose, allow for lots of air circulation, and keep them up off the floor when sleeping.
