Hi everyone. Not doing that great. This is just so painful... I haven't slept much at all since it happened.

We have not heard from the breeder, but I did email her and ask her for the carrier back. (I don't know why I want it back, but I do.) I told her either my husband could come get it or she could send it to me. That was on Sunday and I haven't heard back as of yet. It was very simple and to the point.

I did talk to our attorney. I told him the entire situation and when I told him that she told us that she didn't believe she was financially responsible for the loss of Dixie, he told me that he "Begged to differ". He said the bottom line is that she was responsible-there was a leash law. And if not on a leash, she needed the dog in the carrier I provided. He said she really doesn't want to go to court (in other words, she would never win), so she better make this right.
