Yikes, I'm guessing you should have gotten your name off this thing when you broke up, but what's done is done and you don't owe this guy anything. Either way though it's going to affect your credit I believe. I would suggest contacting the lender or bank and asking what are your rights and what can you do. You might also consider calling an attorney for a quick consult. Some give free over the phone advice. Maybe you are entitled to the car if he has defaulted and you can sell it to pay it off before a repossession hits your credit.
