I had been divorced 2 years when I met my husband. I'd dated a couple of men, but I could tell they wanted me alone, not my kids. Well, love me, love my kids!
Anyway, my husband saw me go into a friend's house. He was working with her husband and remembered me from high school. He asked her about me and she told him about my divorce, 2 sons, etc. He called me that Wednesday night and set up a date for that Saturday. When he knocked and I opened the door, I thought "BINGO", this is the one! He had this big, beautiful, white smile and after we went out to dinner, we sat on the sofa and talked until 2:am...... That was 20 years ago!
