Maybe next time you see him at the door, get all excited. Make over him and tell him what a good boy he is, even to the point of hyping him up. Oscar will always bark when I do this! Oscar does not go to the door and sit. He will come to wherever you are and pace...back and forth. If you don't see him, he will get in your face and BARK! Really loudly...like "HELLO...don't you see that I need to go?" He even paces on the bed when he is in bed with us and needs to go...he is a good boy! Good luck with your baby...I found that Oscar did not really need the training...we needed training on how to recognize his signal for "I need to go outside"...once WE got it, he has done really well.
