Sorry, I meant the 3rd day, BUT I bathe all my girls a day or so before whelping so all they need is a butt wash afterwards in most cases...and I do not recommend standing them in water..just run the sprayer over them and a light bath..my longer time moms seem to enjoy and "spa treatment" around the 3rd day...but you have to remember they are happy to get away from pups for a bit...I don't have frantic moms who go bonkers away from pups...
