We're still trying to figure out where Trixie's allergies are coming from. I took her to the vet this morning for another check up. After three weeks of benedryl and antibiotics, her skin is still flared up (the poor girls belly is sooo red and warm). The vet gave us another medication to see if that will get rid of the skin infection.
Of course allergies can come from a whole array of different things; it doesn't seem to be the food since she's been on food without corn, wheat and dairy for almost six months now. But we're continuing to give her that food just in case. It could be pollen yet, but they haven't been high either lately and the antibiotics should have really decreased the reaction from that and it didn't. So now we're looking at fabric. She's been sleeping on a fleece blankie and on our bed. I'm washing everything with baby detergent right now and got her a towel instead of the blankie to sleep on. And I will have to have her sleep in her kennel at night
