| Allergies... We're still trying to figure out where Trixie's allergies are coming from. I took her to the vet this morning for another check up. After three weeks of benedryl and antibiotics, her skin is still flared up (the poor girls belly is sooo red and warm). The vet gave us another medication to see if that will get rid of the skin infection. Of course allergies can come from a whole array of different things; it doesn't seem to be the food since she's been on food without corn, wheat and dairy for almost six months now. But we're continuing to give her that food just in case. It could be pollen yet, but they haven't been high either lately and the antibiotics should have really decreased the reaction from that and it didn't. So now we're looking at fabric. She's been sleeping on a fleece blankie and on our bed. I'm washing everything with baby detergent right now and got her a towel instead of the blankie to sleep on. And I will have to have her sleep in her kennel at night I hope this is going to help!

| for allergies, i really think its the food. please read the testamonials for natural balance dog food. we feed jack the venison and brown rice. he's good as gold. he was tested for allegies and we found out that he was allergic to basically everything- the most they have ever seen a dog to be allergic acording to our vets. we now feed our miniature schnauzer the same food. they both love it and now are a little chubby. |

| I talked to the vet about her food etc, and picked up some healthy treats this week. One of them are the stinkiest treats EVER, dried white fish. It's horrible. I'm only giving her treats with fish, duck or venison and no wheat, corn or dairy. They have great stuff! Also cute clothes!

Bought a couple of carseats there too, bought the single Lookout II then when i got Poli i bought the 1 1/2 Lookout II so they can share it, but Poli pesters the heck out of Rosi, i might have to put both in Truck in the back , before they get me in a wreck.... mabey we can meet up there one of these days there, doubt if i am going to go there before the 1st as i just bought a couple week supply...

| Itchy Allergy Skin Cooper has started scratching every morning for about 30 minutes. Nothing has changed, not food, not sleeping, no new toys....nothing. I called the vet and he told me this is a bad allergy season for dogs and humans. If over the counter shampoos and sprays don't control it, he told me to come in and get a bottle of Ektokyl Shampoo. It usually knocks it out of them. I haven't tried it yet, but if this keeps up, I will. I was also told to give him vitamin E and Fish Oil supplements. This would keep his skin and coat from dander and drying out. I think I'm going to try that too. |

| Have you considered going to a Veterinary Dermatologist? They know a heck of a lot more about allergies then a General Practice Vet. Might want to give it a try if there is one in your area. Here are some in Washington (State): David D. Duclos, DVM Private Practitioner Animal Skin & Allergy Clinic 16418 7th Place West, Suite B Lynwood, WA 98037 (425) 742-0342 (425) 743-1843 (FAX) Alan C. Mundell, DVM Private Practitioner Animal Dermatology Service 6525 15th Avenue NW Seattle, WA 98117 (206) 789-2959 (206) 781-8659 (FAX) Dr. Kevin P. Hines Hines Pet Health 940 14th Ave Longview, WA 98632 Tel: 360-636-1801 Fax: 360-423-1321 Hope you find relief soon.

| Okay, I played the "feed Ginger the best foods out there" game in hopes of avoiding her unknown allergies. After a year on benedryl, I had her tested. It turns out she's allergic to several things including: duck, lamb, venison, salmon, chicken, beef, turkey, & pork. She is not allergic to corn, but is to soy, wheat and greenbeans. Go ahead and experiment with foods, but if you see little or no improvement PLEASE get your little one tested. I'm so glad I did! BTW, welcome to YT!!!!!
