I just wanted to add I had a female do this without a c section, ran in circles, scared to death of the puppy. I supplemented the puppy just a few times. I just enclosed mommy, petted her, talked to her, then would put puppy in, she would get a bit frantic again, after a few minutes I took puppy out.........after a few hours she did come around. I just kept trying, finally she did allow me to get the puppy to nurse. It felt like 5 days worth of work!!! She then did okay. Good luck!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! |
