I did not want to take the chance, because I would regret it everyday for the rest of my life if something is in fact wrong with her, and if she did not recover from her spay.
The vet said that various highs and lows can be explained because she is a puppy, building muscle, etc. except the calcium levels. So, they will be doing the bile test (to be completed tomorrow) to see what is going on. There is a chance that it could be Addison's Disease, which I am researching at the moment. If anyone's dog has this condition please please please let me know about it. I think it has to do with hormone regulation, but I am still reading up on that.
I just hope it's nothing serious.
Meanwhile baby Mia pup-pup has had some pre-surgery anesthesia before the blood work came back, so she is lethargic and drooly at the moment. The vet told us that she would sleep it off until about 10:00. If she does not go back to her rambunctious self by then, we will thake her back to the doc so they can do something about it.
I am so worried. I hope she will be okay. |
