I only know a little about it in humans and how it affects them. It's an adrenal insufficiency which can sometimes be corrected with meds. Alot of times when humans have to take a steroid such as Prednisone for a long period of time, they can develop this because once they taper off the drug, it sometimes takes the adrenals awhile to kick in and do their job without help from the steroids. That's about all I know about Addison's because I've had to take Prednisone before. Addison's can also be caused by other reasons, but this is the reason I know most about.
