Before I had my son (he's 8 now) so many people told me that my love for my pets would change after I had children. I'd be talking about something cute my dogs did (I used to have two poodles) and they'd say something like "Oh that will change when you have children". Or "You probably won't want them in the house after you have the baby".
Then the other day I was telling this new friend of mine about this messege board and how much you all love your furbabies and about all the cute pictures and things and she said "They must not have kids".
So here is my question: Why do people think that you can't have so much love in your heart for a pet after you have children?!? I didn't change after I had my son. As a matter of fact he is as much of an animal lover as I am and has said since he was 4 that he's going to be a vet when he grows up. I love my son more than life itself but there is also room in my heart for my little yorkie Bentley, my yellow lab, and my two cats who ALL live in the house with us.
