Actually they have DNA under her fingernails and her underwear but they haven't yet tested it to see if it matches Karr's DNA. That will be the next thing they do because sickos like this will confess to get publicicty for a crime they may not have committed. Though I believe he did it, I still believe her parents (at least one of them) were somehow involved. You can't overlook the fact that her mothers handwriting matched the writing of the ransom note and that everything used on JonBennet was from the house: the paint brush that was used to sexually abuse her, the rope, the blanket, the tape, even the pen and paper on which the ransom note was written. I'm glad he confessed but I still feel the parents are involved.
This case had a huge impact on me. I Prayed for this little girl every night for many years. I had the magazine clippings in my dorm room 2 years after her death. I always Prayed they would find her killer. I find myself crying when I think abotu what that sick f***k did to her (and what other children like her go through). But I am a person who deeply trusts my instincts and feel so connected to this case, probably because I worked at a news station and we worked on this case. But either way, I trust my gut, I still feel the parents are somehow involved, I'm not fooled by this confession or her fathers phony statements. There was evidence that JonBennet had previously been sexually abused, prior to her death, and there were old bruises in areas that a child wouldn't normally get them. Working at the news station, you see a lot of gruesome pictures that can't be shown on TV. I had also seen Lacy Peterson's pictures since we worked on that case as well.
This country has a backwards justice system. Someone who rapes and kills deserves to die, but for some reason people feel the death penalty is inhumane?! That' stupid. I have no problem killing these pigs and deleting them from our society, PERMANENTLY! He and others like him should die JUST like how JonBennet and all of those other kids died.
