i dont really know anyone around where i am to talk to about these things
thier kids are all your typical healthy normal kids
not that mine aren't healthy or normal... but not really your typical
i neglected to say that my son is funny, artistic, charasmatic and just plain wonderful to be around on his good days its important to always mention the positive
and he is becoming more and more like that more often it brings a smile to my face knowing this

You most definitely have to focus on the good days. My son loves to read. He has carried books around from the time he could walk. I think that he was a very early reader and we just didn't know it. He is your typical 10 year old little boy loves the computer and video games, loves to go on hikes, camping, swimming and a lot of other normal little boy stuff. I tell my husband all the time that we are lucky we have a happy, healthy little boy and I'm always reminded of that fact when I see other kids that are in wheelchairs and have other disabilities that can be seen.
