Buckeye does this also. It really scared me at first. He acted as tho he couldn't get his breath. eyes bulging out and legs stiffen. mouth tightly closed. I mentioned it to the vet and he said it sounded like reverse sneeze to him. but he didn't say what to do about it. I looked up reverse sneeze on the internet and the one thing that helps him is the blocking of the nose and rubbing his throat to make him swallow. At first I thought it was excitement or "over doing it" that would make him go into these "fits". But he can be just laying there or in the middle of the night go into one of these so called fits.
