But with nature sometimes there is nothing that can be done and it is just that way. Not your fault. Sometimes a placenta will get torn away by a previous puppy and the puppy will suffocate before it is born. Other times who knows.

That's great that it worked. A friend's cat had a litter of kittens and two were stillborn. She said she was able to revive one by rubbing him with a towel like that.
I hope she's all right. I know she's nervous...I'd be a wreck.
