My AprilLove had her rabies at 6 months and she was 2 lbs. 10 oz. She had no reactions. I did her vaccines separate from the rabies a week before the rablies (learned that here) She did have a slight reaction but not serious to the bordello shot (when she was 12 weeks), so I did not have another one done since she wil never be boarded. the one thing that burns me is that the vaccines use the same amount whether the puppy is a 2 lb yorkie or a 50 husky. I don't get it and still can't find legitimate research that explains why. You would think the dose would be less based on the weight of the pup. |
