Ask for the 3 year rabie shot.
You may also ask them to split the shot 1/2 dose now and 1/2 dose later.
Never let them give the annuals and the rabies at the same time.

Is giving it in two does done? I did ask my Vet about doing that and while I was there he called the manufacturer and they said it wouldn't be effective. It needed to be done all at once. He was talking to them right in front of me. I am just curious if others know it can be done and be effective. Izzie just turned 6 months on 8/1 and weighs 2 lbs 14 ozs. She will be getting her rabie shot at the end of the month...only because it's the law.

Joey is due for his rabie and annuals at the end of the month. I didn't know better when he was younger, so they gave him his shots all at once and it didn't bother him. Now I'm afraid...so he shouldn't get them all at once?
