[Foxy's Mom]

My friend has a 5 yr. old female Yorkie that has the same problem. She was told it was allergies, lung infection, and heart trouble. She took her to Mich. State Univ. and they ran tests on her and said that she didn't have any of those problems. She had a trachea problem. They did surgery on her today to put rings in her trachea. She will be there until Sat. They said she came through it very good but that she wouldn't have lasted very much longer without something being done. She was put into an incubator to help her breathe until surgery. Will find out more tomorrow when she starts to come around. Hope this helps. Make sure the vet you take the dog to knows about this problem because some don't.
