I'd hate to see the pets you love get in between a friendship. You should have fun and have a bbq if you want to. Is there any way to set up an expen outside so that the dogs can play and whoever wants to give them attention can go to them? I know my dogs love jumping on new people, so that is what I do when people come over because even people who like dogs don't like getting dirt on their clothes. I hope you can figure out a way to work things out. Or if you guys can talk about it, that would even be better. They might get offended if you have one anyways and not invite them without telling them why.
