Very funny post but its also sad that some people and "breeders" treat their puppies like that.
I'm only about 45 minutes to an hour east of Lancaster PA which is (so it seems) puppy mill heaven. My wife sees the results of puppy mills and pet stores at her hospital everyday. Its so sad and depressing.
The Amish are notorious for puppy mills. Everyone thinks that they take better care of their puppies because they are "old fashioned" and do not use electricity so they "must be better than us". This is just plain incorrect. The Amish give the job of breeding/raising puppies to children because its "not an adult" job. We can all imagine how careful 7 - 10 year olds are with taking care of a puppy, especially with cleaning/feeding/providing water. NOT.
That is why we like prospective buyers to come to our home to view the puppies. Not just that it allows them to see the puppy before they buy it but it also allows us to interview the prospective buyer to see if they are a good fit for owning one of our Yorkies.
