Come on Yorkie Talk members - she has taken the dog to a vet, she did find this site in plenty of time to get answers (this isn't her first post, and hopefully she does have 2 weeks to gain more knowledge), she did take the Mom to the vet and have an xray done. I believe her when she says the vet thinks the Mom can deliver alone and he is on call for a C-section, if needed. As many times as I have whelped puppies, I still get a bit nervous and reread information with each and every pregnancy.
I too think the muzzle might make the dog more nervous. Her instincts will tell her she needs her mouth for breaking the sack, stimulating and cleaning, and cutting the cords. I would have leather gloves (thin, but strong) available. (By the way, I've never seen a muzzle so I am unsure of what movement they still have).
I know you are all just concerned because I've been around a while and know you all to be very good hearted people, but this member only hears your criticism of her, not your love for her dog and unborn puppies. |
