I know that I am new here but it is too bad that we can't get a vet to join and offer advice although I am sure that there is some liability thing that would interfer.....however..we too live way way in the boonies and our vet has taught us how to make an educated guess on what to do..she taught us doggie cpr ...we keep a bottle of epi....making sure to keep check of the exeration date...along with the dosing instructions clearly typed out and wrapped around the bottle with a rubber band....dye free benadrly...an unopened bottle of pedialyte and a can of pediasure....and she taught us how to inject fluids under the skin ..just in case....as far away as we live....especially in the winter ..sometimes we are left for a short time to our own devices....... |
