I just discovered something about our new pup. He would sniff his food and walk away. That's what he's been doing for days. I just switched his food so I thought it's the new food that he didn't like (I've been mixing his food for almost 2 weeks). I took a few of the new kibbles out and gave them to him by hand and he ate them. Then I put a few kibbles down on the towel that we use under his dishes and he ate them off the towel. So, then I put some on a small plate and he has been snacking off of the plate. Why is he not eating out of his dish? It's clean. I don't get it. My husband is currently deployed, and on the phone this morning he asked if his dishes were plastic... yes they are. So he said to try a stainless steel dish. Is this odd? He GULPS his water just fine out of his water bowl but won't touch his food. Has ANYONE else had this problem????? Just seems odd to me. We've always owned great danes and I'm new to the yorkie world. I'm learning everyday. Thanks for anyone who has any input for me.
