1. Breeder - Wanted someone who would take the time to really talk to me since I had never had a yorkie. I actually called some local show dog folks, whose names I got off the internet, & was surprised how willing they were to just talk to me about the breed. They also reffered some breeders since none of them had any available.
2. Availability - I'm very impatient. When I got my fiance' to agree to let me have a dog (it took 4 years!
) then I wanted one yesterday!
3. Personality
4. Size - not too small, not too big. I wanted between 4-6 lbs.
As far as health, I figured a good breeder assured that.
As far as money & sex, It really didn't matter until I got to meet the pups & the girls were a little bit more expensive. I went with the boy (they all had great personalities)
