I can't believe that this happened to our precious baby! This week our 13 week old Yorkie, Rocky, was diagnosed with parvo! I was a complete wreck when our vet told us! But, thanks to early recognition, he FULLY recovered! He had to stay in the vet hospital for the first day and we brought him home for the night. Took him back at 8 the next morning and he was released at 3:30 that afternoon. We have him on a strict diet, but since he has been home, he is completely back to normal and ALL of the symptoms are gone!! Please take your pet to the vet immediately if you see the warning signs of parvo. I thought he was safe since he is current on vaccinations, but the vet told us that the shots are really just boosters and only last 3-4 weeks. Just wanted to share the importance of an early diagnosis to treat this horrible disease! We are so blessed that Rocky recovered so quickly!
