You should definitely tip your groomer but don't feel bad for not knowing. My mom has a dog boutique/spa and she said they had quite a few clients who didn't tip. They put a discreet sign on the register that said "we regret we are unable to add gratuities to credit cards" or something like that. Immediately people who didn't tip started tipping and apologizing for not knowing it was customary.
