The same exact thing happened to Tilly. We kept Tilly in the bathroom with a baby gate and she didn't like when we left. We came home to a bloody bathroom. You would of thought someone came in and killed her. She didn't appear to be in pain but I called the breeder I got her from and she said it's happened before. At first I thought Tilly got it caught on something but somehow when she was scratching the gate it sliced her and her nail was half hanging and it sliced her skin. She gave me some cream for Tilly and she eventually had to get her nail pulled. They said if not it would get infected. Tilly was diagnosed with separation anxiety not long after that. You might wanna get her checked for that. They gave Tilly some pills, Clomicalm, (sorry if I spelt it wrong). It really helped us.
