I'm just going to throw my two cents in here....

I don't think the breeders should have to justify why they price their dogs the way they do. They know what their expenses are and how much time and effort they've put into it.

It's the breeder's dog - they have a right to price it the way they want. I paid quite a bit for Pixie and had no problem doing it. I could afford it, she was what I was looking for, so I went ahead with it. If I thought she was overpriced or wasn't good quality I'd move on, simple as that. I'm not going to criticize or argue with the breeder, they feel justified for charging what they do and my ridicule isn't going to change that... But, there are the people that are charging too much for a dog of questionable health/lineage, but it's up to the consumer to do their research. If they end up getting ripped off by a bad breeder sometimes the consumer is partly to blame. Should've researched the breed and had some idea of what to look for!

Anyway, I have no problem paying a higher price for something (anything, this doesn't only apply to Yorkies) that's of good quality and has someone standing behind it 100%.... And if you don't like the price, go somewhere else!! No sense arguing about it.
